SARASA bets for EVOLUTION by RIERGE

SARASA  is a carpentry with tradition and trade, founded on 1910 and settled in Torroella de Montgrí (Girona), which in its third generation has been able to rely on the most modern technology for adaptation and even anticipation to the current market reality.

This prestigious Catalan company is the first to have acquired the latest innovation from RIERGE: the EVOLUTION machining centre, which incorporates two clamping systems: nesting table and suction cup holders.

 

“We were looking for a machine that would help us to manufacture better, in less time and  with more comfort –says Martí Sarasa, manager of the Girona firm-. Now it is half a year old in our workshop, and we are delighted. We can do many thing and, in addition, very special furniture and, therefore, enter new markets, differents to those that we have been working with until now”.

In addition, SARASA extracts the maximum benefits from the new RIERGE machining centre, thanks to the PROMOB (design) and MASTERCAM (designa adaptation to the machine) programs that accompany it.

 

 

EVOLUTION by RIERGE

EVOLUTION, the great RIERGE’s novelty that will be presented at the next FIMMA in Valencia from 6th to 9th february, has the particularity of incoporating two subjection systems for the pieces:

  • Multifunctional table planned and slotted in square sections, operation that is carried out with the machine itself which guarantees a perfect perpendicularity, square and alignment of the three axes. The work surface is slotted in 22 × 22 mm. and 30 mm. between centres.
  • 800 mm. long cup holder consoles than move along and above the multifunctional table with two suckers each of the consoles and incorporating reference point.

This mixed subjection system facilitates the horitzontal drilling of the pieces cut by the nesting.

 

First of all, the entire board is placed for the vertical cutting and drilling of the pieces and then, without having to remove or attach anything on the table, the cut pieces are placed on the consoles for horitzontal drilling or mrtising.

 

At the software level, the system automatically loads the height difference offset, without the operator having to change any data.

In addition, the head composition can be configured according to the production needs.

 

“This innovation is a formidable advantatge for the carpenter -says Tomás Sarasa, Martí’s son-. The change from the table to the suction cups is easy and fast, without the need to make stops, in a continuous process of work. We activate the suction cups for all the work with solid wood and also in the second passes of the board, to machine the face that we could nout make on the table”.

In a few months, and thanks to their technological jump, Fustería SARASA has attracted new clients and operations, of great volume and complexity of work, also in Barcelona and in the south of France: Special doors, furniture and customed cabinets…

“If we had not invested in the new machining centre, we would not have been able to accept some of these orders -concludes Martí Sarasa-. Thanks to RIERGE we have strengthened and propelled ourselves again in a wide radius around our site, in the northeast of Girona”.
