GABARRÓ HERMANOS complements its expansion along all spanish market with its machinery park modernization. Recently the have acquired a machining center with tow motors (five axis + three axis for nesting) and a divider plat (for solid wood working), with which they propose to offer a fast and effective added service to the clients who need elaborated pieces or ended and ready for assembly on site.

EXPANSION AT NACIONAL LEVEL
The economic crisis made desappear to numerous and important operators of the world of the wood and derivates distribution, which in turn has generated, in som areas of Spain, needs to supply both products and services, which GABARRÓ HERMANOS has wanted and has been able to attend.
This way, the pretigious firm from Barcelona opened a warehouse in Vitoria, reinforced its facilities in Fuenlabrada (Madrid) multiplying by five its area, was implemented last year in Malaga and plans to open a new distribution center this January in Santiago de Compostela.

NEW MACHINERY PARK
The same crisis scenario made GABARRÓ HERMANOS to defet investments in machinery for their wood and board transformation plants.
“We have untertaken a Renove Plan, incorporating new machines in our facilities in Sabadell -explains Ramón Gabarró-. First it was the sectioning machine, then the edging machine and, finally, we bought a new machining center with numerical control”.
The growing demand for semi-elaborated products by many customers who are engaged in the assembly of furniture or carpentry elements encouraged GABARRÓ to make this important investment. “They are professionals linked to the retail and contract sectors, with light structures, who prefer to order the materials preparation and are involved in the placement or installation phase of the products, without taking care about its manufacture.
GABARRÓ also serves semi-finished products to carpentry and joinery companies which have a limited CNC or that, even having a well-endowed workshop, they go through a point of work that forces them to request support.
Each one may need and ask for a different product, so it was necessary to devise a solution capable and, at the same time, very flexible. Not only can vary the model of machine, but also the tools and, of course, the software (MASTERCAM in this case) that will move there the drawings of the parts to be machined.

AN ESPECTACULAR MACHINING CENTRE
GABARRÓ has acquired a large RIERGE’s machining centre, very completed, equipped with fifth axis, nesting table (which works with the third axis) and a divider plate for work on solind wood. It’s an equipment to respond to any request; even for those customers who have a machining centre, but do not have a fifth axis, for example.
“We were looking for a powerful and versatile, that would allou us to do anything asked by the clients -explains Ramón Gabarró-. with solid wood, laminated beams, board, compact and solid surfaces. All of them, materials commercialized by us. Now we are capable to supply elaborated pieces and finished products ready for the assembly to some clients who are not equipped with precise machinery to make ir for themselves.
GABARRÓ is a service company, and it required a dimensioned and versatile machine to be able to attend all types of demands and needs.
“Here we can produce a lot of things on several materials, we feel capable to manufacture anything we are asked for, however complex it may be -explains Pedro López, responsible for the production area in GABARRÓ’s warehouse in Sabadell-. Properly programming production is enough to monitor that the machine is doing its job normally ”.
“As it is not a manufacturer of a specific product, such as kitchen furniture, step doors or solid flooring, we have created a versatile machine for GABARRÓ that incorporates the nesting table, to help customers who need this type of work, but it can also mechanize solid wood parts of large dimensions and, moreover, it is sufficiently robust to mechanize compact or solid surface”, explains Santiago Riera, RIERGE’s manager.
“We have acquired a racing car, and for that we have hired a great pilot, Neus Viladevall, an engineer with experience in the management of a numerical control machine who, in turn, is receiving from RIERGE and his partner in software, TECNOCIM, the adequate training to extract the maximum to extract the maximum of its possibilities from the machine”.
